Ms. Chia-chen Lu(Janet Lu)/Counselor, Psychotherapist
Janet is a licensed psychotherapist who works with adults and adolescents. She has been providing trauma-informed care to individuals and families in school, community, enterprises, in-home and outpatient settings since 2000.With more than 30 years working with adolescents and more than ten years psychotherapy practice in community, enterprises and psychiatry clinics, she had been lifting up many people from the pit of their life, curing many clients.Areas of predominant clinical interest include the treatment of depression, anxiety, traumatic stress, and grief. She strives to work from a place of respect and authenticity and values collaboration in order to tailor therapy to best meet the needs of the individuals with whom she works. She draws from humanistic and relational approaches when working with individuals in order to help them foster healing, self-awareness, resiliency, and connection in their daily lives.She uses CBT(Cognitive Behavior Therapy) when working with clients who suffer depression, OCD, Anxiety, and PTSD, CPTSD clients, and emotion-focused couple therapy meeting with couple and family’s needs.
